Staci’s Story

Staci Sims serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Florida Farm Bureau Federation, the state’s largest general agricultural member association.  She joined the Florida Farm Bureau family in 2009, and has had the opportunity to serve in multiple roles, including General Counsel and Director of Government and Community Affairs.

Prior to joining Florida Farm Bureau, she served as a prosecutor for the Florida Department of Health, appearing before the Board of Medicine and Board of Nursing Home Administrators on disciplinary matters involving licensees.

Staci is a double Gator, receiving her bachelor’s degree and juris doctorate from the University of Florida.  While in law school, she was selected as a Gubernatorial Fellow working on education policy for then-Governor Jeb Bush.

Project One45 is near and dear to Staci’s heart for many reasons, but most importantly, in 1997, Staci and her family were in a car accident where her mother suffered a traumatic brain injury.  Having a loved one who has suffered and overcome so many odds, planted the passion to help others.

Staci is the proud wife of a career law enforcement officer, Lieutenant Chris Sims, who was one of the first on scene the day of Taylor’s accident.  The title she is most proud of is, Mom.  She and Chris are the proud parents of three children.
